Your STYLPRO Spin & Squeeze bowl can be washed on the top rack of the dishwasher or washed by hand with warm water and soap.

To stop the build-up of germs in your makeup sponges and brushes we recommend you clean them once per week. Makeup tools are a breeding ground for bacteria, so it's important to keep them clean before applying them to your face. The STYLPRO Spin & Squeeze can also be used to refresh your brushes and sponges when changing makeup styles.

Yes, it comes with one 85ml bottle of STYLPRO Sponge Sparkle Cleanser and four 10ml sachets of STYLPRO Brush Cleanser. Refill bottles of both are available at www.stylpro.co.uk and other retailers.

Yes, both the STYLPRO Sponge Sparkle Cleanser and the STYLPRO Brush Cleanser are registered by the Vegan Society as suitable for Vegans as they do not involve or contain animal-derived ingredients and have not involved animal testing.

No. To leave brushes both clean and silky soft, our Brush Cleanser includes a blend of conditioning oils such as argon and wheat germ. Sponges however are made from foam and require a different formulation to leave them clean and soft. Using the Brush Cleanser on sponges instead of the especially formulated Sponge Sparkle Cleanser may not only leave your sponge with a slightly oily feel, but will not clean your sponge as effectively. In turn, using Sponge Sparkle Cleanser on your makeup brushes will not leave them as clean or conditioned as the STYLPRO Brush Cleanser.

For best results when cleaning sponges or brushes that have used liquid makeup, we recommend using our STYLPRO Cleansers. For makeup brushes used for powder makeup like bronzer and eye shadow, you can use your preferred liquid soap and water.

We advise you use a small amount of liquid soap into the bowl with enough water to cover the tips of the brush bristles. Do not submerge the brush ferrule (the area that holds the bristles) into the solution and get it wet as this may cause damage the bristles.

TOP TIP: Do not add too much soap as this will cause the solution to over froth when the device is in use.

We recommend an anti-bacterial hand wash. Others recommend baby or conditioning shampoos.

If you haven’t cleaned your brushes and sponges in a while, you may need to wash them twice. Your sponge may have a small amount of water and cleanser left after cleaning. In this case, we recommend either spinning your sponge for longer, or squeezing your sponge with a tissue to remove excess liquid.

The force exerted on the bristles when spinning is very low in comparison to the bending, squeezing, and pulling action used when cleaning brushes by hand. As part of our testing, we retested a range of brushes 500 times, to see how they were affected. The results show that there was little to no effect on the bristles.

Please note when changing from wet to dry, bristles can be delicate. For natural bristles especially, please only spin dry for 3-5 seconds then stop. If any of the bristles do stick out, please use a damp cloth or finger to mould them back into shape and leave them to air dry.

However, as there are so many factors regarding brushes, we cannot be held responsible for any damage to your brushes.

For brushes, only one brush at a time can be cleaned, as the pebble device fits into a single collar.

For sponges being used on your own face, you may clean multiple sponges in the bowl at once. For best results, we recommend that 80ml of Sponge Sparkle Cleanser is applied to each sponge before adding the water. You will have to squeeze and spin the sponges separately, as only one sponge fits in the press at a time.

Remember to clean the cleanser out between brushes and sponges, using the Sponge Sparkle for sponges and the Brush Cleanser for brushes.

For brushes, you may re-use the brush cleanser for three brushes if it is only for personal use. For makeup artists, please use new Brush Cleanser for each client.

For sponges being used on your own face, you may re-use the Sponge Sparkle Cleanser and the water. However, this does depend on how dirty your sponges are at the start. For really dirty sponges, we recommend changing the cleanser and water between each sponge to achieve best results. For sponges being used on others, we suggest changing the solution after each wash.

We have tested the Spin & Squeeze with a huge range of makeup sponges and brushes. Most sponge shapes and types will fit into the press, and most brush types will fit into the collars. There are 8 silicone collars which have been especially designed to hold any brush handle between 5mm and 30mm in diameter. The Spin & Squeeze may not be suitable for brushes with flat handles, oval shaped or those that are double ended.

We do offer star-shaped collars, designed with more flexibility. These are great to use for brushes that sit in between the standard 8 collar sizes. You can find these here.

When cleaning with the STYLPRO Spin & Squeeze we recommend gently massaging and kneading your sponge with the press. We suggest not using excessive force or rough movements with your sponge. In cases of excessive force being used, some damage to your sponge may occur.
